Our Attorney General And The Power Bill Increase

It is being reported that a legal settlement agreement will result in Duke Energy increasing its rates by 6.8%. In response to this outcome, our esteemed state Attorney General– pretty boy Jeff Jackson– is dissatisfied.

That’s very interesting.

Did he raise any complaints when the Greensboro City Council raised our property taxes by 18%? Did he raise concerns after the Guilford County commissioners raised our taxes by 6%?

When lenders charge excessive interest rates, it is called usury; and it is often against the law.

What do we call it when politicians raise taxes too much? Is it a crime?

Mr. Jackson?
