The city is placing a bond issue on the ballot for $41.5 million for multiple projects. City leaders are admitting they will need to raise property taxes further to service this debt.
Recall they had just raised property taxes nearly 20 percent less than two months ago; and nearly 60 percent of these monies are going to pay city staff. Now, they already are lustily seeking to spend more money and raise taxes further. The ink is hardly dry on the last tax increase.
It is pretty shameless. These people need to be thrown out.
The city’s greed for more funding is insatiable . Not much you can do to stop their tax, tax and spend.
I trust that the bond issue will be rejected by the voters.
Based on the track record of the voters in this city, Fred, I suspect the opposite is true. They almost ALWAYS approve bond issues.
Except for sales tax bonds.
That’s right, Fred. They won’t approve the tax to pay for the spending they endorse, thereby leaving property owners holding the bag.
