Vance IS a “neocon,” as is Trump, given their mutual support for further forever wars in the Middle East. He’s a chameleon. I remember when he likened Trump to Hitler, only to bend the knee two years later. He’s a chameleon and an opportunist, and you gotta watch out for those types.
Hi, Allison. I appreciate your concern. It’s hard to see that the Republicans have someone better who can win the nomination and then the presidency, unfortunately. I like a Rand Paul or a Mike Lee or a Ron DeSantis or a Tom Massie, but they have no path.
I had seen reports online– unverified, of course– that Vance advocated against the war in Iran before it took place. Of course, if that is the case, he had to publicly support the president once the war began.
Allison, I share your misgivings about Vance, but he may be a good guy trying to navigate the sea of Neocons in which anyone in the Republican Party must live or die. The Zionists will not allow either party to nominate anyone who genuflects to Israel and forever war less than Vance. To wit, he might be the best we can manage, unfortunately.
It is interesting, J. Sobran, that it is very difficult to get an America First candidate who also aggressively advocates a limited federal government. You can get one or the other– and EACH tends to be poorly tolerated by the establishment GOP– but it is rare to get both stances in the same individual.

No, Fred. It is impossible to forget about Rubio, Fred. He is not the ideal America First candidate; but he was a Tea Party guy way back when. He might be better on limited government issues than Vance, I suppose. It would be good to compare their voting records in the Senate. He is a great communicator, but Vance does very well in this area also. Perhaps he has learned from Trump some of the America First precepts, although even Trump has faltered in that regard.
Rubio is a forever war Zionist of the 1st order, Fred. He represents a continuation of the US Empire foreign policy that gave us Iraq I, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq II, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Ukraine, and now war with Iran–everyone an abject failure for everyone involved (except Israel, for whom most of them were done, without Israel lifting a finger). Not all that different than Hillary Clinton.
The neoconservative aspect of Rubio’s profile is what has raised concern. He has certain strengths otherwise.
