It should be noted that the rightful decision-making authority on public health measures is at the STATE level, not the federal level. His actions were in direct opposition to many decades of proper public health practice and ethics. And these actions were very costly to the people of North Carolina– and to its churches and businesses. He was fully responsible for what happened in North Carolina; and cannot shift the blame elsewhere:
Asked how he’d handle COVID-19 pandemic differently in hindsight, Cooper says, “That was a tough time for everybody. What we did was took the information that we had at the time and made the very best decisions that we could at the time. I think we know a lot more today.” #ncpol pic.twitter.com/NHqKD6o5Kt

He’s got that “aw shucks” act down. So moderate! Extremely moderate.
But as “our” next Senator, he will vote for every Dem proposal, no matter how authoritarian, how socialist, or how fascist it is.
I’m sure the “journalist” didn’t follow up with “If you had it to do again, would you let all those murderers and rapists out of prison?” Cause he’s on the team.
Interestingly, J. Sobran, this journalist, as you suspect, is not a conservative. I have to give him credit for asking the question. Cooper is shutting conservative journalists out of his campaign events. But I agree with you that he would be a guaranteed vote for the socialists in the Senate.
Cooper is, of course, a fraud. Even if he wins I think the GOP will remain the majority in the US Senate.
Fred, I truly hate the thought of having him represent me up there for six years.
