The Vice President’s interview with Joe Rogan has apparently caused quite a stir.
When Trump ran for president during 2016, he told a group of Jewish megadonors that he did not need their money. That similarly caused a stir, but he turned out to be overall quite pro-Israel, in part because of his son-in-law.
I did not see the whole interview, but Vance made a number of comments that go far beyond what Trump has ever said. Now, there is heightened urgency in some quarters to promote Rubio for the GOP nomination for president in 2028.
Here is a small sampling of the interview:
It’s an intriguing 2 man race. Take your pick after the primaries.
Fred, I don’t know if JD will truly run. But I think there is going to be enormous pressure on Rubio to run, even though he has said he will not run against JD.
Jesus! What namby-pamby answers! Why is Israel less popular? Can’t mention their murdering ~100,000 Gazans and Lebanese, a majority women and children. People don’t like that. People don’t like the slur “anti-Semitic” cast at them instead of a counter-argument to even the mildest question or point they try to make that isn’t “Rah! Rah! Israel.”
He can’t be honest about the control the Zionists have over the Swamp. And even as obsequious as he is being to the Zionists, they will not allow him to be the next president. They’ll assure that the candidates are Rubio and someone Zionist Dem (because the Dem is assured to win in 2028 after this catastrophic war has taken the world into serious recession).
Vance is certainly better than war-lover Rubio, but not enough better for anyone to give a crap. We are screwed.
J. Sobran, it may be that JD Vance is the best we’ve got within the GOP with a reasonable chance of getting the nomination. Would he accomplish more than Trump? I don’t know. Trump has accomplished much via executive action and his judicial picks, but there is much business that has not been consummated. With Republicans, we are not getting true constitutionalists as a general rule.
