I remember reading that Thomas Crooks had traveled to Washington, DC not long before his assassination attempt. Cell phone records were able to identify a specific office building there he apparently visited. Why have we not heard more about this?

It would appear that Trump himself shut down the investigation of Butler. If I’m not mistaken, that is what Bongino told Tucker Carlson? (One could make a case that Trump made a bargain at some point with the Dark Side for them to allow him to be elected in Nov ’24.)
There was some indication of Crooks having some interaction with the FBI a little previous to Butler. Indicated by phone location, I think. Judging by the media, Americans have lost all their curiosity. Why would not a single “journalist” feel like following that story to its end?
I don’t know the answer to that question, J. Sobran. With regard to your 1st sentence, I think I have vague recollection of that also somehow. The American people deserve better.
