It is truly sad to see the decline of Britain. It was at one time the empire on which the sun never sets. Today it is a hellhole as a result of decades of progressive government. The way the Henry Nowak murder was dastardly handled underscores the pitiful condition of that country. The last election showed a glimmer of hope, where may labor candidates were tossed out of office.
And Fred, just as in the USA, the more “conservative” party did hardly any conserving. The historic British people have every reason to feel betrayed.
Amen, Triad. Brexit and electing Conservatives yielded the opposite of what Britains voted for.
Just like the US voting for the peace candidate…Bush II promised a “kinder, gentler foreign policy”, Obama was the peace candidate who dropped more bombs in the Middle East than Bush and launched the Syrian civil war for Israel, & then Judas Trump ran prominently as the “peace candidate.”
No matter who you vote for, you get John McCain.
I wish we had better leadership over the last few decades, J. Sobran. Britain is in a worse situation than the USA, but it seems we are marching in parallel.
