The PCA historically has been a conservative denomination. However, nearly all of the conservative denominations have experienced some degree of liberal drift.
Zachary Garris is a pastor who I have followed on Twitter (X) for some time. I have admired his work; and I recall having linked to it here in the past.
This week, he was suspended by his presbytery because of a spirited exchange online with Dr. Anthony Bradley– a black man. Bradley reportedly has had his share of “spirited” tweet exchanges in the past.
This situation smacks of enforcement of political correctness. It raises concern as to whether a conservative pastor is being targeted by elders who are not nearly as conservative.
Beside the apparent injustice, this raises another concern. Why would a young man want to enter the ministry in this denomination when he might be subject to this type of harassment?
Protestia and Evangelical Dark Web provide additional detail.
Here are posts that reacts to and further describes the situation:

In essence, “the truth will set you free” emphasizes that spiritual liberation and inner transformation come from knowing and living according to God’s truth, which is fully revealed in Jesus Christ.
Prayerfully the higher authorities in the PCA will undo this wrong.
Fortunately, Fred, this guy has the right to appeal to a higher level. But in the meantime, his reputation is damaged and his pastoral duties are halted because of these progressives within a historically conservative denomination who decided to teach him a lesson because he is conservative. He is being punished because he previously spoke out in opposition to catering to feminist demands within the church.
