Guilford/ Greensboro Tax/ Fee Update

Now, Skip Alston is signaling that he will place on hold his plans to increase property taxes in view of the General Assembly’s planned passage of its one-year moratorium. The Rhino Times reports that he plans some budget cuts.

Meanwhile, the city of Greensboro plans yet another whopping increase in water/ sewer rates; but its intentions regarding property taxes are unclear.

Citizens can attend their public meetings during the first week in June to speak out.
