Fred, the fellow in the video correctly points out that the socialists in Congress will not allow Alberta to become a U.S. state. Independence may be their only route if they secede, as you seem to suggest.
It would be wonderful for Alberta to secede and become fully independent. And provide a possible free country for Americans to flee to if you can stand the cold. Surely they wouldn’t want to join our corrupt empire.

Yes, neutrality affords some degree of protection. Other countries, however, will lust after its energy deposits.
Geography protects Alberta entirely except from Canada and US, 2 countries with such grandiose pretenses of being “liberal democracies” that they could never pull out their war-like fangs for something so low as stealing another country’s oil. I think as long as Alberta doesn’t criticize Israel, they would be safe as a standalone. Infinitely cheaper for their citizens.
