The Raleigh Republicans have been enthusiastic about legalized gambling in various forms. In fact, it is a big part of the reason Phil Berger lost his re-election bid.

Wow !! Astounding that Knowles and AOC agree that gambling is bad for the country.
Simply said the horse is out of the barn. Forty five ( 45 ) states have lotteries.
North Carolina’s lottery was originally called ” Educational ” but that was dropped.
Thanks to Lt. Gov. Bev Perdue’s tie breaking vote and intentional absences by 2 members, the lottery passed.
I am not optimistic that this current situation will ever change.
With good reason, Fred. Unfortunately, many individuals and families will get caught up in these “opportunities” and get themselves into loads of trouble.
