The diametric opposite of Trump sacrificing quite a few US soldiers (probably a great number in the fullness of time) for Israel. Following in the footsteps of Bush and Obama.
Well…actually Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama, Trump, and Biden have all been instrumental in murdering hundreds/thousands of innocent civilians in their wars in the Middle East and Serbia. What a Christian nation.
There is definitely a pattern, J. Sobran. And none of it has objectively helped the American people. I was among those who thought the war in Afghanistan was justifiable, but even there, it is hard to see what we achieved.
We added ~6 trillion dollars to our debt. A few thousand Americans dead or missing limbs. Many more dead Afghans. We should have learned that our leaders could lie to us for 20 years and suffer zero consequences…but apparently the Mockingbird media like it that way.
Afghanistan offered to turn Osama over to the US if the US would provide evidence of his guilt. That was too much trouble for Bush, who preferred killing a lot of people instead.
Academia wants to guilt America for their pre-PC past, a time when the US lead the world in ending slavey and pioneering more rights and possibilities for women and lifting the world out of poverty. Yet they focus very little on the actual villainy of the US as the chief post-WWII warmonger of the planet.
We need to get back to congressional declarations of war, J. Sobran. There was enormous wisdom behind the words written in the US Constitution; and we ought to have the humility to adhere to it, in every way.
I feel your pain. but let’s see how this bold decision ends up.
There is no question, Fred, that it was bold. I hope it works out…
