Mask Zealots, N95 Masks and The Flu

Outkick has an interesting article about certain mask zealots within the scientific community pushing the World Health Organization toward N95 masks. (HT: Fred)

The argument is that surgical masks, face coverings and the other kinds of masks we all used during Covid do not work well enough. That is quite an admission given the fact that many of these people pushed for these masks vehemently.

In fact, Cone Health here in Greensboro required these inadequate masks of many of their staff for the flu season this winter.

Here is an interesting factoid about the flu. It kills many more children than Covid did. Children were not particularly at risk with Covid, but the flu can harm them more severely.

But we have not seen the push for universal masking and prolonged school closures with the flu over the last couple of years despite the fact kids are more at risk than they were during Covid. In fact, that demonstrates the extraordinary Covid measures affecting schools were for the teachers, not the kids. It demonstrates they were based on hysteria and politics.
