Andy Beshear is the socialist governor of Kentucky. He is considered to be a possible presidential contender.
The socialists have a “weak bench”, so some among them might want to advance Beshear as a moderate-appearing white guy who can appeal to independent voters. After all, he has been able to succeed in a state like Kentucky, according to their thinking. He recently made some LGBTQ-related statements that reveal who he really is. Al Mohler responds:
"Gov. Beshear doesn't define his faith, except that it includes the Good Samaritan and the Golden Rule.

You are looking here at two different rival religions. You have historic, orthodox, biblical Christianity, and you have theological liberalism and whatever it produces next." pic.twitter.com/td9abkLIOn
I STILL HAVE RELATIVES LIVING IN KENTUCKY WHO WOULD RATHER BE TORTURED
THAN VOTE FOR BESHEAR.
It’s interesting, Fred, that he has been able to do as well as he has in a state like Kentucky. I suppose he is analogous to Roy Cooper. They are all evil, of course, but there are some folks within the democratic socialist coalition who are concerned about Newsom being able to win; and they see him as an alternative. Of course, he doesn’t check off the minority/ women boxes.
