I was in Tehran Iran in 1979, shortly before the US Embassy was stormed and hostages take. The hate shown for the US was palpable even in the hotel staff. There have been uprisings before but none like now. Let’s hope the Mullahs are toppled and freedom returns to those oppressed people.
That would be wonderful, Fred. I think there has always been a sizeable “moderate” population in Iran but the Islamists fought tenaciously for power– to gain it, and then to hold it.
