There is a lot to what he is saying. (Trivially, Deism is somewhere between Christianity and agnostic; not too sure about that break down.)
The thing I notice most is that Jews show little regard for the Golden Rule. If you are a Jewish pedophile, they will not extradite you to the US. They don’t treat Palestinians the way they would want to be treated. They don’t treat the US the way they would want to be treated.
I suspect this “Judeo-Christian” term is part of their deep-seated propaganda, part of the Israeli program to seduce Protestant Christians that has been phenomenally successful.
I agree, J. Sobran. And it is also a factor in domestic politics and culture. Jewish Americans have been probably the biggest drivers of secularism and immigration, as I have noted previously. That was all self-serving in various ways. But creating the perception that we had to bow to their expectations by claiming some affinity or kinship was part of the plan– thus, the term serves other agendas.
The Jewish population in America during the founding era was small, estimated at around 2,000, so it is doubtful that their values influenced the founding fathers.
I agree, Fred. It was not Jewish input or practices that informed the Founders. Instead, it was the British concept of liberty and lessons from the overall Western tradition, which included but was not limited to biblical Christianity.
This is why one’s hermeneutics is so critical. No one ever taught me this concept when I first became a believer.
I agree, Outlaw. When this term is pushed, there is a cultural and political motivation behind it. It is not a biblical concept.
