The Daily Haymaker has an article that outlines the history of Trump’s political endorsements in the state of North Carolina. The record is pretty awful, unfortunately. Check it out.

It appears that some of Trump’s endorsements were ill-advised. Perhaps he should stay out of local politics.
The Haymaker did not mention that Sheriff Sam Page was under investigation by the NCSBI.

Fred, I think Trump is trying to maximize the likelihood of GOP control of Congress. He tilts toward the GOP establishment as a result.
I think his support for Berger was to repay Berger for his getting passed congressional redistricting.
“Except for his brief stint as NCGOP state chairman, Whatley’s WHOLE career has been tied to DC. Every bit of it.”
That’s about as close to something substantive re Whatley as anyone has produced. It isn’t positive, but it isn’t much. The anointed Republican candidate is a very dark horse, a cipher, a person whose true values are completely unknown.
Don Brown is unapologetically MAGA. https://donbrownexploratory.com/
We ought to have a lot of concerns about Whatley, J. Sobran. He is originally from North Carolina– and that is a positive. But I can see him becoming loyal to Thune in a heartbeat.
