The charged state legislator is Cecil Brockman from Guilford County. He is a Democrat who previously has been reported to be bisexual.
Brockman had become a target of other Democrats because he had voted with the Republicans on certain bills. Ordinarily, the socialists defend their own almost regardless of the circumstances; but in this case, they are very quick to call upon him to resign. It is pretty obvious that is because he has wandered off the plantation to some extent.
It will be interesting to see whether the Republicans in charge of the General Assembly try to discipline or expel him.
I Wonder who or what will name his successor if he does resign ?
