UNC Antifa Professor Gets Off The Hook Again

CBS17 has an article about UNC Chapel Hill’s administration reinstating Associate Professor Dwayne Dixon after he was suspended for “allegedly” inciting political violence.

During the period when the Silent Sam statue on campus was torn down, Dixon was charged with assault. He evaded the charge on a technicality. The person Dixon was charged with assaulting maintains to this day that he was guilty according to Stephen Horn at the Triangle Trumpet. It was also maintained Dixon used a rifle to threaten others in the midst of these demonstrations.

The Carolina Partnership for Reform identifies Dixon’s membership in Redneck Revolt– an Antifa-like organization. They are precisely on target when they state that Dixon does not have a natural right to employment with UNC; and that there is more than enough justification for terminating him. I agree with this analysis.

There is ample evidence that this gentleman was involved in activities that should be regarded as impermissible for the highly privileged position of faculty member at UNC.

My recollection is that a female faculty member at Elon several years ago was affiliated with Antifa; and had engaged in “doxing” others. In other contexts, we have seen this type of activity lead to violence or other adverse actions taken against those targeted.

Why do the esteemed institutions of “higher learning” in our state have difficulty with removing Antifa-affiliated faculty members? This ought not be the case.

  1. Should have long gone by now. UNC is run by a bunch of weak kneaded wusses.
Dixon’s continued employment paid for by the taxpayers is an outrage. I suggest the General Assembly do whatever is necessary to fire his ass.
