We see these things happening in spite of the effect Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA had on young adults. Without their efforts, the numbers would be even worse.
Yes, young adults tend become more conservative as they get older. On the other hand, some of these will undoubtedly retain a socialist worldview. The numbers in this poll are very worrisome for the future of the American constitutional republic– or at least, whatever remains of it these days.
Wikipedia states we have 250 elected officials in this country who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. That is in addition to all the “closet” socialists who are part of the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively.
If the country votes increasingly socialist, we will have less religious liberty and certainly less prosperity. That directly affects the well-being of the American people in aggregate.
I honestly believe that the tide has turned and socialists are becoming a smaller and smaller portion of the electorate. I have the hope that the young people of this country will wake up one morning and find that the scales have fallen off of their eyes and they can see the folly of Socialism.
They definitely need to wake up, Fred. The trend is friendly but the future is bleak as the socialists replace those who have passed.
