SCOTUS: Prohibiting Transgender Treatments For Minors OK

The mere premise that the states do not rightfully have the power to prohibit these “treatments” or surgeries is outright absurd. The practice of medicine has always– constitutionally and historically– been regulated at the state level, not the federal level.

That does not mean, however, that the Supreme Court will get it right. Often times, it has not.

This time, however, it did precisely the right thing; and the decision ought not be controversial.

It is hoped this will embolden the Republicans to take rightful actions on this issue and on others of concern.

    1. I think we have had at least one or two, Fred, fortunately. One of the positive aspects of how things have turned since the presidential election is that Republicans are somewhat less likely to betray and surrender as they did in a graphic way with the “bathroom bill” during 2016. They still betray and surrender, less consistently.
