It is well known that faculty hiring at the vast majority of colleges and universities is heavily slanted toward the progressive/socialist crowd. In fact, estimates are that this group comprises greater than 90 percent of faculty hires.
UNC- Chapel Hill recently installed someone to supervise faculty hiring who is heavily into “diversity, equity and inclusion”. This has caused somewhat of a tempest. Christopher Rufo is reporting that the provost who hired her will no longer be employed with the university:
The provost who made this decision has submitted his resignation. His last day is next Friday. Now is the time for red states to launch ambitious reforms. Glad to see this outcome. https://t.co/qBNvo8RxeE

You want real diversity?
How about every higher education institution receiving Fed money be required to have a faculty representative of the population—half Democrat, half Republican.
JayCee, the level of ethical corruption in the universities has been mind-boggling. Your suggestion is a good one; and it would spur a great deal of much-needed dislocation. How about 1/3 Republican, 1/3 democrat, 1/3 other/independent?
Corbie should never have been hired in the first place and now she needs to be fired.
I agree, Fred. Will be interesting to see what happens.
As you know, Fred, the socialists are hardly ever held accountable.
No, let me modify that statement. The socialists are NEVER held accountable. Until proven otherwise.
Time to start calling them “indoctrination camps” rather than “universities.” The narrowness of allowed thought being the very opposite of ‘the universe’.
I agree, J. Sobran. The socialists play to win, and their strategy was to control key institutions. That is part of the reason they have prevailed in spite of numerous Republican victories at the ballot box over the years.
