The Raleigh Override

The NC House passed its override of Cooper’s veto of the bill that would take powers away from the governor and state attorney general and place the state Board of Elections under the authority of the Republican state auditor.

This article has an exhaustive list of the measures it includes. (HT: Lynn)

This seems good overall. However, it is only good to the extent that GOP state legislators are willing to pass and enact conservative policy. The problem is that they have been increasingly unwilling to do so.

When they pass items like Medicaid Expansion and legal abortion through the first trimester, they cause many of us to throw up our hands and wonder— what’s the point?

  1. I am not thrilled by many things that the GOP house does and doesn’t do on the other hand I am terrified at the thought of a Democratic majority.

Thanks to Lynn for the details of the bill.
