The bill passed by the Raleigh Republicans this week gave control of the State Board of Elections to the incoming NC State Auditor, Republican Dave Boliek and the General Assembly.
But the John Locke Foundation also points out the bill moves control of LOCAL boards of elections in a similar manner. That means the Guilford County Board of Elections is susceptible to changes in leadership.
Given the fact that Guilford County’s voting patterns are heavily socialist, it seems doubtful changes at the local board of elections will make a real difference here.
But these changes certainly could make somewhat of a difference statewide– if the Republicans ever get their act together.
