During the 1979 hostage crisis in Iran, hordes filled the streets there chanting, “Death to America!” It was fairly upsetting for Americans to learn of this happening.
But now, we are seeing crowds chanting “Death to America” right here in the United States, usually in the context of Palestinian protests. It has happened multiple times— in Michigan, Chicago, New York and probably elsewhere.
