But much of the progressive/socialist project is an attempt to fashion an earthly Utopia. They rely upon gullible people who do not see the pitfalls, and who do not educate themselves. They have little use for the biblical paradise that awaits Christians in heaven, as contrasted with the earthly paradise they seek to create:

In 1516 Thomas More gave us a version of an imaginary perfect island nation where thousands live in peace and harmony, which he called Utopia.
It included married priests, euthanasia, slavery and no private property…. things which socialists suggest are happiness. Wrong then and wrong now.
