Greensboro Judge Clips New Abortion Law

Readers will recall my criticism of the abortion law recently passed by the North Carolina General Assembly. It was a half-hearted effort at best. But it contained a handful of good provisions.

Carolina Journal has reported that federal district court Judge Catherine Eagles– a democratic socialist judge recommended by the late Senator Kay Hagan– has struck down a couple of provisions in that new law. Eagles is from Greensboro.

We shall see if the leadership of the General Assembly appeals this verdict.

  1. Yes, by all means this decision should be appealed. TC: You are correct in your descriptive of Judge Eagles.
