In spite of the general awfulness of the current legislative session, there have been a couple of positive notes.
Readers might recall that we discussed a porn regulation bill a couple of days ago. Fortunately, this bill– HB 8– passed by an overwhelming, veto-proof majority.
That is something to celebrate. But there is another also.
The awful state budget contains language that prevents any governmental entities in the state from mandating the Covid vaccine. It also prohibits schools from mandating it if they receive state money. This prohibition should have been extended to private entities also; and it should have passed two years ago when these mandates were threatening so many people. Nonetheless, it is a limited victory.
