One of the ironies: Cooper lies in his campaign promises that he is going to do something about the insurance companies. (He won’t do a thing.) Obamacare is what truly ensconced the insurance companies as government’s blood brother, with taxpayer subsidies and hordes of cost-increasing mandates. After Obamacare, the patient truly isn’t the customer and is thereby powerless. And the protocol-following doc also dances to the govt-married insurance companies’ tune.
As I watch Cooper’s TV commercials, J. Sobran, it becomes clear that he is the snow man. He is snowing many of the people of this state. Of course, you are right. He will deliver on none of the things he promises, and in fact his “solutions” often make things WORSE. His ability to deceive is at the same level as Bill Clinton.
It indeed is upsetting … the thought of Cooper sitting in a US Senate for a long time…not just one term.
It’s a mess, Fred. And it seems inevitable. Again, they might run him for higher office, except he is a white male and that will not pass muster with big chunks of the party base.
