We have reported here previously about the socialists’ candidate for US Senate in the state of Kansas– the “Rev.” Adam Hamilton who pastors a United Methodist megachurch.
It turns out that Hamilton was one of the key national figures within the denomination who effected the split of the denomination over LGBTQ issues. (HT: Breitbart) Recall that the more conservative churches within the denomination were permitted to leave after paying a fee; and most joined the nascent Global Methodist denomination.
It should be clear that the United Methodists have been a typical liberal mainline denomination for many decades. It has been pro-abortion and pro-feminist with women pastors. It also advocates for “racial justice” and “environmental care”. The denomination also pronounces that it “stands with migrants“. But the adoption of the LGBTQ agenda tipped some of the more conservative churches within the denomination over the edge. And Hamilton played a big role in that split.
He has therefore been a major national leader in the evil that presides over that denomination.
