“The govt is not allowed.” Yet over and over they have done it without penalty. Lincoln’s War, WWI, & Faucian Dystopia flagrant, egregious examples. Any penalty for the Biden administration having social media censor the people, especially the ones telling the truth? Any penalty for the NSA violating the 4th Amendment every day? Any penalty for the CIA manipulating all the media?
It is better to have the Bill of Rights to appeal to than not to have it at all. That’s about all you can say for it at this point. (Well, most of it: the Supreme Ct has declared much of it unconstitutional, especially the 9th and 10th Amendments.)
Everything you say is true, J. Sobran. The Constitution is helpful only to the extent that the our leaders are ethical and abide by it. It is very difficult at times to correct or to get accountability for violations.
I TOOK MY KIDS AND MY WIFE TO WASHINTON , DC. THEY VIEWED THE ORIGINAL CONSTIUTION AND THE ORIGINAL DECLARATION DECLARTION OF INDEPENDANCE AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES MUSEUM . THEY WERE AWED. IT IS TRULY A BREATHTAKING MOMENT.
