When “Aid” Money Is Used To Stir Up Mischief

This is precisely the type of thing that we instigated in Ukraine about a dozen years ago that aggrieved the Russians unnecessarily.

Money ostensibly designated for aid was used for overturn the leadership of foreign governments. Note that never really happened in Cuba because Obama liked the Cuban communists. But taxpayer money was shuffled around in a deceptive manner:

  1. Well let’s start that. I gathered that he was talking mostly about ancient history.

    The Trump administration effectively dismantled the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), freezing payments, canceling thousands of contracts, and rescinding billions in foreign assistance through executive actions and the Rescissions Act of 2025. Remaining global health functions were shifted to the State Department.

    I am confident that the Communist government in Cuba will fall. As to how and when is hard to predict.

    1. Yes, Fred, that was a good thing that Trump and Rubio dispensed with this abomination. The fact that Obama was pursuing this so intently proves he was something other than what he represented to the public during his presidential campaigns.
