Cone Health Promotes Nurse Practitioners As Key To Future

The organization is launching its Institute for Advanced Practice that promises to provide nurse practitioners and physicians’ assistants with advanced training.

Of course, this is a blatant admission that many of these practitioners are not remotely ready to deliver appropriate care when they graduate from their programs. After all, how could their knowledge and experience base be comparable when physicians complete four years of medical school and at least three years of residency before practicing?

The agenda is to build a caregiving workforce with loads of non-physicians for a glorious future that includes “value-based care”. This is a moniker for withholding care to satisfy insurers.

Could it be that this is another method to generate profits to fund executive/ managerial salaries?

Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware.
