We have had some degree of socialism for many decades, but the Democratic Party wants to push it much further:
Mike Johnson is right, but we need to take it one step further. As he states, Marxism is inconsistent with the idea of a constitutional republic. We can’t tolerate the existence of these radicals within our political system because they oppose the Constitution. We need to have the courage to state that those espousing these beliefs can’t serve in political office– and enforce it.
We also need to have the courage to state that organizing and agitating toward Marxist ends is also unacceptable– and enforce it.
We have laws against treason and sedition; and the failure to enforce them over the years has had enormous consequences.
There will always be a Bernie Sanders etc unless some method of banning them from office is found.
I think the law exists, Fred. It is just that there is enormous reluctance to enforce it.
