I visited Romania several years ago. While there I had the opportunity to tour the Castle Bran ( It has been Popularly—if inaccurately—identified with the fictional Castle Dracula. Bran Castle is one of Romania’s top tourist attractions.) Vlad the Impaler is reported to have been imprisoned there. He was brutal leader of Romania taking on the Ottomans.
I enjoyed learning about this, Fred. It casts a spotlight on the lengths some were prepared to go to prevent a Muslim takeover of Christian countries. I wish we took nearly as seriously the need to protect our country.
