I have never met Joe but I have worked with his with his wife Victoria Toensing. Joe was the US Attorney for DC was U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia during the Reagan era, and will lead a sprawling investigation targeting Trump’s enemies, reaching all the way back to a previous Justice Department inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He is an accomplished prosecutor and I wish him well in his new assignment.
Some probably don’t know, Fred, that you were a long-time DOJ employee; and I remember that you had a high regard for DiGenova. I hope we will finally see some movement.
The action against the Southern Poverty Law Center announced this evening is a very hopeful sign.
