Scott Yost at the Rhino Times reports that the Guilford Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution to authorize the regional water authority to explore “regional water and wasterwater capacity development”.
Translation: they want to bring water and sewer service to the small towns within Guilford County and perhaps the rural areas in between. The justification offered is the increased development we have seen.
We have previously reported that this would represent a seismic change for these communities because it would encourage further high density development. The commissioners seem hell-bent on this path forward.
Hey County Commissars…slow down….put the brakes on. STOP !!
I hope they will listen, Fred. They are trying to take away the rural lifestyle of so many Guilford County residents. But of course, this political crowd regards them as “deplorables” who are not part of their constituency.
