After it became clear that he had committed perjury, some of the socialists denied that it was perjury, and excused his behavior saying it was just “lying about sex”. They were willing to extend grace to Clinton. But the hallmark of their ideology is that they are unwilling to extend grace to others– Trump, the Founding Fathers, the South, etc.
Grace is extended to their own side, and is withheld from their political or ideological enemies. That is how it works.
