And contrary to some of the poor examples other Olympic athletes had set, the hockey players for the USA team exhibited love of country and patriotism:
Jack Hughes, who lost a tooth on the ice today, after scoring the gold medal goal in OT, “I love the USA… we’re so proud to be Americans today.” Perfection. If you have the good fortune to rep the greatest country in world history do it like this: pic.twitter.com/V3sBxLgKqj

As Hughes indicates, this was the goalie’s triumph. Canada had a tenacious team and large numbers of shots-on-goal. But the American team hung on; and won in overtime.
This is not a “miracle”, unlike the 1980 victory. Over the last 40 years, hockey has matured and become much more pervasive throughout the United States. We have players being trained and competing at a much higher level. NHL hockey used to be dominated by Canadians years ago; but that has turned around.
It was good to see Canada beaten because it has become an awful, socialist, Godless country that persecutes Christians and conservatives.
A shinning moment, for sure, in America’s hockey history. USA USA
