But how did this arise? He might– perhaps– have done some soul-searching and learned from Trump’s victories.
He is speaking these days more like a Christian conservative and a paleoconservative. But given the fact he has long had neoconservative inclinations, we also have to wonder about whether this change is intended to advance that particular point of view:

I remember the old TV commercial, Fred– is it real or is it Memorex? Rubio has many strengths that have become more apparent since he became Secretary of State. I doubt he is America First, however, in all aspects.
I agree with you and Jesse. But his history certainly leaves a degree of skepticism. The more so with Trump breaking half his campaign promises.
