Let’s not forget the dirty 51.
In the bigger scheme of things, Fred, the dirty 51 are getting away with what they did. They had their security clearances stripped, but that’s about it.
They neutered Trump’s 1st term as well as helping steal the 2020 election. The CIA (with the military brass) murdered JFK [the best evidence being that they were provably the ones who altered the Zapruder film]. They probably took out Agnew and Nixon to install their guy Ford (most of the Watergate burglars were CIA & Woodward probably was; Deep Throat was FBI).
They’ve been the top dog of the DeepState at least since 1963. Trump is behaving as if he has made a deal with them, reneging on all his campaign promises to reveal their secrets and continuing all their wars. And appointing a CIA head of their approval.
I agree, J. Sobran, that some aspects of Trump’s leadership on foreign policy during the second term suggests he has made some compromises. Campaign dollars also likely explain it at least in part.
