State Auditor Dave Boliek’s report reveals a number of serious deficiencies in the way the program did its work. It is no wonder that disaster victims in North Carolina could not get the help they needed in a timely manner.
This was former Governor Roy Cooper’s responsibility. He dropped the ball, severely. The people of the state need to become aware of this prodigious failure on his part.
It is a long time to the Senate race for Thom Tillis’s seat but I hope Whatley will pound hard on the failures of Cooper especially with regard to disaster relief.
Whomever the opponent turns out to be, Fred, I think they need to pound hard on ALL of Cooper’s failures. There are many of them…
