Want to reduce violent crime?
Use the D.C. model—just manipulate the stats until they give the results you choose.

It’s funny, JayCee, how the socialists behave nearly the same almost everywhere in the country.
I just saw on another website how some elderly black citizens in D.C. are grateful for what Trump is doing because they don’t feel safe in their own city.
Is there any thing that can been done in those large metropolitan cities to make them safer places to live and raise a family Well I say yes. For starters just follow something like a modified play book of what being used in Washington, D.C. It will only work if tried . Otherwise you find leaders simply paying lip service to the problem. Dr. Lott is spot on.
There are other things that can be done, Fred, other than what Lott recommended, and we have discussed those things here previously. But what he recommends is a great start, and would be very helpful if implemented and maintained.
