She passed away a couple of weeks ago. She was born Concetta Rosemarie Franconero in Newark, NJ; and was of Italian descent.

She had a sweet voice, Fred; and the Italian she sang seems pretty credible. Perhaps she heard it around the home growing up.
There was some really good music back then; and the videos provide a glimpse showing how the culture was much better than now.
