Other Worthy Overrides of Stein Vetoes

We already discussed the override of Stein’s veto on the transgender bill.

But there were a couple of others worthy of note:

  1. Repeal of the carbon targets in the energy bill
  2. Requiring law enforcement to cooperate with ICE

There are still a couple of others pending including the concealed carry bill and the bills to eliminate DEI from the state’s public education. The prospects are uncertain.

  1. This is an example of what the GOP can do if they pull together. Stein is infected with vetoitis. Maybe this will cure him.

    1. I think they were successful overriding at least 8 vetoes, Fred. There are at least several other potential overrides that have not yet been voted upon; and I suspect that is because they don’t have the votes. I think several votes have been reschedules for near the end of August.

      But I agree with you– when they pull together toward conservative ends, they can do great things.
