Hunter Biden’s revelation that his father was taking Ambien when he had his disastrous debate performance is enormously significant.
Ambien is considered to be a controlled substance. It can have fairly significant side effects and serious reactions associated with using it.
In fact, it is instructive to consider how the federal government regulates its use in airline pilots. The FAA has fairly stringent rules for certain types of medicines.
It turns out that the FAA forbids pilots from flying for a period of 24 hours after using Ambien. In addition, the FAA makes the following statement: “Medical conditions that chronically interfere with sleep are disqualifying regardless of whether a sleep aid is used or not.”
All of this means Joe Biden would not have been permitted to fly an airplane at least part of the time, and perhaps would have been restricted from flying an airplane completely. After all, a pilot is responsible for the safety of potentially hundreds of people; and needs to have a sharp mind to be able to make quick decisions and judgments.
It is somewhat ironic that Joe Biden had administrative authority over the FAA for four years.
A president is responsible for the safety of hundreds of millions of people. He is supposed to always have access to the “nuclear football”; and be able to make the right decisions on the spur of the moment affecting the safety and security of the entire country.
Hunter Biden was trying to make the case that his father’s debate performance was not an accurate reflection of his capabilities. But in the process of doing so, he demonstrated his father was not fit for the presidency.
” Dopey Joe” was on dope and fell flat, if you believe Hunter.
I suppose it takes a dope like Hunter to know one, Fred.
