There will be at least one more installment of this series. Some of what we are viewing might be somewhat familiar, at least to some of those who visit this blog:

Again I watched the entire video. J.D. Greear is ruthless. He is a false teacher.
I am looking forward to the 3rd chapter of this series.
I am sure, Fred, that J.D. Greear has his own side of the story. I suppose he will represent this as gallantly trying to save a dying church. Covid did a hit on many churches, and it seems this might have been one of them. But there are some ugly methods demonstrated in this case that we have seen replicated in other places in various ways. It’s almost as if there is some level of groupthink among certain players that this is the way to handle things. Where and how is this groupthink being generated and perpetuated and communicated? I don’t know.
This is truly heartbreaking and sadly has so many similarities to my previous church in Greensboro. Truly the love of money is the root of all evil. God no doubt will hold these people accountable. Thanks for sharing!!
Hi, Tammy! Yes, we are seeing certain similar patterns being repeated in different settings, in somewhat different ways. It requires a certain degree of ruthlessness to take away from people what means so much to them. Is it truly biblical to single-mindedly implement drastic changes, ostensibly to grow a church or attain a certain model, at the expense of jettisoning the unity and discipleship of the body?
