Arguments Against Birthright Citizenship

Homan is correctly describing some of the impacts associated with recognizing birthright citizenship without limitation. The problem is that Supreme Court justices are not supposed to rule based on a constitutional provision’s impact. Instead, they are obliged to rule based on what the actual text says and its meaning.

    1. I agree, Fred.

It has gotten to the point that some on the right are advocating that presidents screen prospective judges on the basis of who will be a political whore– not unlike the lefty judges. The Republican judges don’t adhere to a consistent judicial philosophy, unfortunately, while the opposition judges are the equivalent of whores.

I would add it should NOT be necessary to screen judges in that manner.
