And contrary to some of the poor examples other Olympic athletes had set, the hockey players for the USA team exhibited love of country and patriotism:
BREAKING – Team USA hockey player Jack Hughes, who lost two front teeth after taking a stick to the face and still came back to score the game-winning goal against Canada, hands the win to America, saying, “This is all about our country right now. I love the USA!” pic.twitter.com/Nr5bb7C2aL

As Hughes indicates, this was the goalie’s triumph. Canada had a tenacious team and large numbers of shots-on-goal. But the American team hung on; and won in overtime.
This is not a “miracle”, unlike the 1980 victory. Over the last 40 years, hockey has matured and become much more pervasive throughout the United States. We have players being trained and competing at a much higher level. NHL hockey used to be dominated by Canadians years ago; but that has turned around.
It was good to see Canada beaten because it has become an awful, socialist, Godless country that persecutes Christians and conservatives.
A shinning moment, for sure, in America’s hockey history. USA USA
