When there were predictions of freezing rain with air temperatures in the low twenties or high teens, I wondered how that could be the case. There was virtually no ice storm except relatively harmless sleet. Yes, I know they said the air mass was warmer up above us, but even then, it seemed unlikely we would get much freezing rain…

The heavy icy precipitation has moved east of us.
I don't expect any power outages at this point.
Talk about being fortunate. Staying sleet basically all day was really a blessing.
